We are a Christian community within the Catholic Church. The Lord is grafting to the Community those he is calling, in order to grow to maturity as disciples of Christ, sharing the life in the Spirit and the fraternal love, and to carry the powerful gospel of our Lord and Savior to our villages and cities, countries and to the ends of the earth.
An alive Christian community…
We are a cell of the Body of Christ which is the Church. The Community came by the Holy Spirit, and it belongs to Him, it is a gift from God. In the Community Christ is the center, and only to do the will of God and to give glory to God is sought.
Within the Catholic Church…
The Jerusalem Community is a Public Association of the Faithful canonically erected in the Diocese of Zaragoza (Spain) in January 1991. It is governed by the Articles of Association, also approved in 1991 by the Archbishop of Zaragoza, D. Elias Yanes.
The Lord is grafting to the Community those he is calling…
Christians of any age, state and condition can integrate the Community. We are families, single people, priests, elders, youth,… people of God united by the Spirit. We do not look for ourselves, or a group of friends where you feel good, but we seek the Lord and our place in His Body. He is who calls us and unites us. If you hsve discovered, like us, the calling to the Christian community, we invite you to know us and see if the Lord calls you to be Community with us and to receive the same gift that we received with no merit on our side.
Disciples of Christ…
In the Community, Jesus Christ is the Head and we are His Body and members one of another. It is Christ who heals us, cares for us, teaches us, gives us His life and enables us to serve in His Kingdom.
Sharing the life in the Spirit and the fraternal love…
We are generally not bound under the same roof, but under the same covenant, the same commitments, that help us to follow the Lord and to walk as people of God. The Holy Spirit distributes his life through the Body and together with the gift of unity, He puts in us one same spirit (cf. Acts 5:12). This spiritual unity is concreted and is strengthened in our community meetings and fraternal sharing.
To our villages and cities, countries and to the ends of the earth…
